Conference theme:
This conference of the Bremen Initiative to Foster Early Childhood Development (BRISE) provides a forum for the interdisciplinary exchange of current research findings on the quality and on determinants of children’s home and institutional learning environments and their effects on the early childhood cognitive, social and emotional development. A special focus will be on children from disadvantaged families, as well as on the promotion of early childhood development through targeted interventions. 

The conference is free of charge.

What´s about?
CIDER – College for Interdisciplinary Educational Research – starts its third round!

The College is an interdisciplinary network of post-doctoral educational researchers. It was founded on the firm belief that the field of empirical educational research can benefit greatly from cross-disciplinary exchange and collaboration. CIDER combines the following academic disciplines: Economics, Educational Science, Psychology and Sociology.

CIDER’s goals are to:
1. promote interdisciplinary research 
    in education,
2. build an international cross-disciplinary
    research network in education,
3. advance the academic careers of its fellows,
4. raise awareness for public science.

Now starting the third round, the CIDER network consists of three cohorts of fellows, plus senior researchers from the participating Leibniz institutes.

30 third-cohort CIDER Fellows, plus first and second cohort fellows and senior researchers

Beschreibung:

Die DGBV und das IPN richten dieses Jahr gemeinsam das 6. Sankelmarker Gespräch
zur Lehrerbildung zum Thema "Schule in Zeiten gesellschaftlicher Umbrüche - Haben wir die richtigen Lehrkräfte?" im MPI für Bildungsforschung in Berlin aus.

Die Sankelmarker Gespräche zur Lehrerbildung bieten die Gelegenheit, grundlegende Probleme der Lehrerbildung und des Lehrerberufs unter Expertinnen und Experten differenziert und
vertieft zu diskutieren.

Teilnehmende sind Expertinnen und Experten
aus den Bereichen Schule, Lehrerbildung (Universitäten, Studienseminare), Lehrerverbände und Bildungsverwaltung (Ministerien, KMK, Akkreditierungsrat).
Dazu gehören Vertreterinnen und Vertreter
regionaler und überregionaler Medien.
