On Saturday, April 22nd, thousands of people will rally in Washington D.C. and in over 500 cities all over the world in support of research and science. Public discourse needs to be based on scientific knowledge rather than personal opinion. Everybody, not only scientists are encouraged to take a stance on this issue.

Friday night, April 21st, 2017, at 8:30 pm, Kiel University is hosting a “Science, not Silence” event at the Audimax in support of science as the pillar of human advancement and prosperity. Scientists, students, teachers, and the general public are invited to join.

The March of Science takes place the following day, Saturday, April 22nd, in Hamburg and begins at 2:00 pm at the Rathausmarkt.
