Does Reality Shock exist for trainee teachers?

Motivated by university reforms in the context of the Bologna process, both the university as well as the first phase of training for ongoing teachers was a focus in (empirical) research over the past seven years. The ramifications which the reforms have on professional-related development for ongoing teachers were examined in the PaLea research project. PaLea was carried out in cooperation between the IPN, Kiel University and the Technical University Munich.
