May 8th, 2017: Employment prospects – educational concept for math and science instruction in Schleswig-Holstein and Danish schools. Event open to the public at Kiel University’s European Week.

27. April 2017

Stronger focus on future employment opportunities in math and science education.

The IPN’s project PANaMa (Perspektiven am Arbeitsmarkt mit Naturwissenschaften und Mathematik) is geared towards 9th or 10th grade students in the region, and aims to show them future employment opportunities in the fields of mathematics and sciences. Class room teaching material about selected jobs in sectors like energy, agriculture and nutrition, high-tech-materials, or robotics technology, will be included in the teaching curriculum, while representatives of universities or businesses will explain aspects of the jobs to the students. The students will then work on those subjects within their respective curriculum. They will then present their results to the public in form of an exhibition.

PANaMa will present its work to students, educators, and the public during Kiel University’s European Week.
