Grasping the concept of virtual water - Environmental Touring Exhibition makes the News!

23. November 2016

The regional television station, NDR, recently broadcast a film about the touring exhibition “Ich sehe Was(ser), was du nicht siehst - Grasping the concept of virtual water” which is presently being exhibited at the International Maritime Museum in Hamburg. The German Federal Environmental Foundation is the main financial supporter of the exhibition as well as for the tour agenda.

An NDR team visited the exhibition and showed a film about the exhibition in the programme “Mein Nachmittag” [My Afternoon]. Several IPN scientists were involved in the conception of the exhibition. Professor Kerstin Kremer informed television viewers about the water balance for our breakfasts, the water footprint of a tomato and global water requirements for producing cotton. The aim of the exhibition is imparting knowledge and motivation to do something about sustainable consumption.

The exhibition can be visited in Hamburg till February next year and then it moves to Aachen in March 2017.
