Kieler Forschungswerkstatt offers a manifold program at the 2017 Kiel Week

The Kieler Forschungswerkstatt, a cooperation between Kiel University and the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN) once again presents interactive events during the Kiel Week.

From June 16th -25th, daily from 12 - 6 p.m., the ocean:labor offers activities for everybody at the “Future Ocean” exhibition tent at the GEOMAR aquarium. Activities are centered on current topics of marine research like plastic and noise pollution.

From June 21th – 25th, daily from 12 – 6 p.m., the Kieler Forschungswerkstatt offers young people exciting insights into science and technology at the Kiel University exhibition tent.

The program changes daily:

Wednesday, June 21th: “Nano-technology in every-day life”, the navi:klick!:labor shows in how sun screen works.

Thursday, June 22th: “Experiments with bananas”, the geo:labor presents insights into the field of agricultural crops.

Friday, June 23rd: “Nano-technology”, the klick!:labor presents current research with four experiments, like measuring of a drop of water to investigate the lotus-effect.

Saturday, June 24th: “Miniature low pressure areas”, the geo:labor presents biology and art. Participants can creatively display soil organisms.

Sunday, June 25th: “Research in human medicine and biology”, the life:labor offers insights about microorganism in the human body or how to identify different types of spices.
