National Teacher In-Service Training on the Baltic Sea Ecosystem

Two courses with a focus on marine science are being offered from May 27th till May 29th and from 03rd till 05th June 2016. The topic is “Baltic Sea Ecosystem and Anthropogenic Influences on the Pilot Island in Schleimünde.

The Baltic Sea is a sea with many unique features as well as a unique habitat for marine life such as poriferans, crabs, starfish or porpoises. In two German states secondary school teachers can intensify their knowledge about the Baltic Sea ecosystem and the effects of human activity on the fragile habitat as well as learning new teaching units covering the topic of marine sciences. The location for the trainings is the Pilot Island in Schleimünde and is under the auspices of the Kiel Research Workshop.
