This Year’s IPN Prize goes to Colin Jeschke  for His Thesis in Mathematics Education

Colin Jeschke was awarded this year’s IPN prize for his outstanding master’s thesis in the field of Mathematics Education. His thesis is about subject specific resilience of first semester mathematics students. Professor Aiso Heinze was his supervisor. The Commission responsible for awarding the prize acknowledged the highly relevant topic that was dealt with from both a scientific as well as an application oriented perspective. The commission was highly impressed that the thesis was presented as an independent and coherent study. Additionally, the commission praised the high methodological level of the thesis.
