Students teaming up to explore the Baltic Sea

28. April 2016

Students from junior secondary level can explore the Baltic Sea with their own research projects.

A new afternoon project is being offered by ozean.labor at the Kiel Research Workshop. Junior secondary school students can apply their natural science know-how and research the ocean based on their own ideas.

Students have the choice of teaming up with others or working alone on their individual research project of choice. The focus can be, e.g. on pollution of the oceans, ocean currents, plankton in the Baltic Sea, underwater robots. It is also possible that the entire group can work on a shared project. The student lab will supply laptops, literature and other necessary materials for the realization of the project. Needless to say, the Kiel Research Workshop team will be there to offer their support.

The Baltic Sea junior research group will meet every Tuesday afternoon between 16:00 and 18:00. Students can join or leave the group anytime they like; however, it is recommended that they participate at the first two meeting when basic knowledge is being presented.
