Our project focuses on enhancing science teacher preparation by emphasizing activities in science teacher education that promote the adoption of innovative teaching practices. Thus, our proposed project focuses on the horizontal priority that addresses the training of educators and the sectoral priority that addresses initial teacher education. Existing research has demonstrated that the innovative teaching practices emphasized within this project bolster student achievement in mathematics and science, particularly among traditionally low-achieving and diverse students.
