Register now: Continuing education for biology teachers "Using experiments more efficiently"

In many cases, experimentation is a central part of teaching biology. Accordingly, this raises important questions for teachers: How can I support students who find experimentation difficult? In what ways can experiments help to convey a better understanding of experimentation as a scientific method?

The IPN offers a training program on these core questions as part of the LeFEB project (Teacher Training for the Promotion of Knowledge Acquisition Competence in Biology Teaching), for which you can now register. The program consists of three workshops as well as a pre- and debriefing session and is intended for teachers of biology at a community school or a grammar school in grades 7 to 9. Teachers of Nawi are also welcome to participate if their teaching focus is biology during the period in question.

These workshops will focus on the integration of experiments into biology lessons to support students in the area of knowledge acquisition. Workshops will be offered in the 2nd school semester 2022/2023 or in the 1st school semester 2023/2024 and will take place on Wednesdays or Fridays, though the times can be agreed upon individually.
