The DZLM develops, implements and researches nationwide effective further training programs for multipliers, teachers and daycare professionals in mathematics. The new IPN department will be located in Berlin at the Humboldt University which is also the location of the DZLM business office. The IPN and Humboldt University will be working closely together and the IPN Department of Research on Knowledge Transfer can draw on the work of the DZLM. Professor Olaf Köller, Managing Scientific Director of the IPN: "In this manner, we are securing the continual advancement of professionalization in Germany. Students in particular benefit from the transfer of research into practice. Our research and development work will initially focus on mathematics and later on science subjects".
