Department of Mathematics Education
The department of Mathematics Education was founded at the IPN in 2008 and it has been expanded ever since then. The staff members' focus of research lies on the analysis of the conditions, processes and results of mathematics education. In this respect, especially conditional factors that are individual or are related to lessons are regarded in order to describe empirically proven models of the development of mathematical competence and to deduce concepts for learning environments. The focus of research lies on primary and secondary education although, principally, preschool education and further courses of education are also included. |
