Instead of bringing everyone together for the 2nd National Convention on Early Childhood Development of the Bremen Initiative to Foster Early Childhood Development (BRISE) we would like to offer three virtual seminars. Representatives from administration, research, practitioners, and the public will discuss effective ways of jointly promoting comprehensive early childhood policy.

The Night of Science 2020 in Kiel is part of the "European Researchers' Night" (ERN).

The three-day event serves the exchange and networking of the PhD Representations as well as the coordination of the network's content and the decision-making process. On the last day of the GA, the members of the Steering Committee are elected for the next term of office.

Organizer:
The SH Summer University is an annual advanced training course for school principals and teachers. It is organized by the IPN in cooperation with the CAU and the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of Schleswig-Holstein.

Theme:
Now the clock strikes thirteen!
The 13th SH Summer University opens its doors once again at the Sankelmark Academy and offers you the opportunity to deal with current issues in educational research. Scientists will be present with whom you can discuss their research topics which are relevant for schools.
This year, the conference will focus on two thematic blocks:
Digital and emotional teaching and learning.
Digitization and the inherent challenges and opportunities for our school system are the ongoing focus of current discussions in our education system.
The SH Summer University furthermore focuses on the research-based contribution of social and emotional competences of teachers to their own well-being, to the well-being of their students and to their learning success.

Target group:
School administrators and teachers of all school types in Schleswig-Holstein

Since 2014, the shops on the Holtenauer Street have been opening their doors once a year for the "Late Shift meets Science" for short lectures, small promotions or hands-on experiments. The aim is to give the Kiel public an insight into the topics currently being dealt with by science institutions in Kiel. 

This year, on 8th May, Frank Lüthjohann from the nawi:werft of the Kiel science factory will represent the IPN. He will be presenting engaging hands-on experiments on robotics in front of the Höhenflug shop under the title "Crash Course Coding - How a wooden board becomes a robot vehicle".

Theme and objectives
Along the lines of global sustainability goals, the SDGs of the UNESCO, students, teachers and scientists will work together in 33 different workshops on impulses for a sustainable life that will incorporate local to global outreach programs

The aim of the congress is to provide thought-provoking impulses from science and educational practice so that further projects in the sense of joint sustainability processes can be developed in Schleswig-Holstein. Futureprojectscan be presented and exchanged on the basis of an accompanying sustainability platform of the MBWK and MELUND.
