The symposium "Artificial Intelligence - Opportunities and Challenges for Schools and Education" will bring together researchers from the fields of artificial intelligence, education, representatives of politics and school practitioners. Public lectures from research on development trends in artificial intelligence provide the basis for the discourse. In the afternoon, keynote speeches will provide an in-depth look at the topic. To what extent has artificial intelligence already found its way into schools and lessons, where does its use make sense, to what extent can artificial intelligence reduce the workload of teachers and support student learning processes? Among other things, applications for the automatic evaluation of essays or electronic workbooks for students as well as the extent to which artificial intelligence can help teachers capture interactions between students will be examined.
