October 9th: Symposium „Video Instruction: Research-Transfer-Teaching“

October 1st, 2018

On 8 and 9 October 2018, at IPN, a symposium on video instruction in science education will take place with participants from research, schools, and educational administration.

Video tutorials are important for informal, non-formal, and formal teaching and learning processes. From the perspective of science education, it is particularly important to clarify what contribution video instruction makes to learning science and which criteria characterize the effective use of videos in science teaching.

The aim of the symposium is to develop criteria for the effective use of video instruction in science teaching through a methodically structured and systematic approach (Delphi methodology).

The symposium takes place within the framework of the VisiBLe project (Design and implementation of video instruction in biology lessons as a part of teacher education) and is sponsored by the Joachim Herz Stiftung.
